This is the HH 24 particle beam jet. It is composed of electrons and protons moving at hundreds of miles per second. The photo was captured by the Hubbell space telescope. This scene occurs when a star forms and is about 1,500 light years away.

  1. Is there a specific place that these particle beams occur? Good description very cool.
