This is a picture of the remnants of a star exploding in the Vela constellation. This picture came from the Jade Scope Observatory, and was taken on October 1st, 2013. The questions that this photo made me think of were; How did this happen, where could this happen and how long does such a event last for? This is a really cool picture because of all the cool lights and colors and that is the reason I chose it.

  1. I thought that I could answer your questions. Even though scientists do not yet know how long it will take for a star to explode, the reason they do so it because once it's fuel runs out it collapses on itself.

  2. Good explanation and image choice, one of the most interesting pictures that I have seen. Good job.
